TJ Developments – Moy Holiday Village, Kavarna

TJ Developments, Moy Holiday Village, KavarnaTJ Developments – Moy Holiday Village, Kavarna

This post is in response to a lot of queries we’ve had about the Athlone based TJ Developments promoted Moy Holiday Village in Kavarna. These queries were predominantly made on a previous post relating to seminars being held by the, now defunct, Bulgaria Property Action Group.

I don’t know this particular development personally but, from what I can gather, it was sold by T.J. Developments located in Athlone and, from what investors have been saying on this previous post – things did not go according to plan.

As you can see from the attached advert in the Roscommon People (and the entire article below) from March 30th 2007, TJ Developments Moy Holiday Village in Kavarna was to feature ‘Stunning Views of the Black Sea’ as well as:

• 400 apartments
• Internal lifts/stairs
• Maintenance management company
• Private beach accessed by electrical lift
• 24 hour security/reception
• Beauty salon and hairdressers
• In-house, 2 bars, 2 restaurants, creche and play areas, spas and swimming pools, etc., etc.

According to their own blurb; “Moy Holiday Village is being developed by Irish developers. An off-plan-project commenced in January 2007 and is due for completion in 2009.”

Apparently, some five years later, it’s got none of the advertised facilities, in fact, despite the declaration in the Roscommon People, it appears that it never even started construction. Investors are, understandably, not very happy about it. Because of restrictions on posting by popular forums such as Ask About Money, there isn’t really anywhere for investors in this project to ask questions or express opinions. AAM states clearly – “Askaboutmoney is heavily moderated so read these guidelines“. Unfortunately this renders the site utterly useless for anybody looking for any real information because, as soon as you ask for it you’ll be banned. This post is, therefore, merely there to facilitate the process of gathering information for people who may have invested in this project.

The company promoting, and indeed meant to build this development, was TJ Marketing Ltd., T/A TJ Developments, Belhavel, Golden Island, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. The phone number on the advert from 2007 is (090) 64 71024. Unsurprisingly the number now appears to be disconnected. The email given is kennegan@eircom.net and the website, which no longer exists, was www.tjmarketing.ie.
