A report on the front page of yesterday’s Sunday Business Post (December 2nd 2012)  claims that the Law Society of Ireland is to pursue fugitive solicitor, Michael Lynn, in his new homeland of Brazil. The Law Society, it claims, has paid out a significant amount of money to clients defrauded by Lynn. It says the Law Society is in negotiations with a Brazilian law firm to seek redress and recoup some of the funds it has had to pay out to clients caught out by his legal and property dealings. Lynn skipped the country in 2007 owing a figure estimated at around €80m.
