Selling a UK Property – How does the process work with OPA?
The first step is an initial consultation with the owner to discuss the background to purchase, the owner’s expectations on price and selling timeframe and to record the actual details of the UK property for sale.
Following this and based on the details supplied by the owner, OPA discuss selling the UK property with their local agents and property partners where the it is located to get an approximate valuation and likely selling timeframe.
OPA will then contact the owner to discuss the feedback from the local UK sales agents. If the owner is satisfied with the feedback, and agrees to engage OPA and the recommended agent, a fee of €300+ VAT is payable to OPA.
OPA then introduce the owner to the local UK Estate agent, list the owner’s UK properties on leading international property portals such as Rightmove.co.uk (which usually costs £240, but is included in the OPA fee) and become the client’s main point of contact going forward for on-going updates relating to selling the UK property.
